Roof leak repair

Water travels. It gets in at a nail, a seam, or a piece of flashing, runs along the decking or a rafter, and shows up on a ceiling several feet away. So we don't start at the stain — we trace the water back to where it gets in, repair that, and check the decking it soaked on the way.

Flashing and chimney repair

Most leaks we trace start at flashing, not at the shingles — the metal that seals a roof where it meets a chimney, a wall, a valley, a vent, or a skylight. We replace failed step and counter flashing properly, reseal pipe boots, and rework valleys, instead of smearing roof cement over the gap.

Shingle and storm damage repair

Wind lifts and tears shingles; hail bruises them; a fallen limb punctures the deck. After a storm we tarp what needs tarping, photograph and document the damage, and repair it — and if you're filing an insurance claim, we walk you through what your adjuster will want to see.

Ice dams and winter damage

NEPA winters are hard on roofs. When heat escapes into the attic, snow melts, refreezes at the cold eaves, and backs water up under the shingles. We repair the damage at the eaves and underlayment — and look at the attic ventilation and insulation behind it, so it doesn't happen again next winter.

Flat and low-slope sections

Porch roofs, additions, and garages often have low-slope or rubber sections that leak at the seams and where they meet the main roof. We repair seams and transitions and replace worn sections with the right material for a low pitch.
